Report Illegal Content

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Purpose of this reporting channel

This page is Favvy's electronic notice-and-action channel for reporting specific content that you believe is illegal under European Union law or the law of an EU Member State. It is intended to make notices sufficiently precise and substantiated for palmstudio GmbH to assess them diligently, objectively, and without arbitrary delay.

You may also use this channel to report content or conduct that violates the Terms of Use, even where you are unsure whether it is illegal.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal, restriction, or another particular result. We assess the reported material, the information in the notice, applicable law, the rights of affected persons, and the measures reasonably available to us.

2. Service provider and contact point

Favvy is provided by:

palmstudio GmbH
Pfalzgrafenstraße 38
67434 Neustadt an der Weinstraße
Germany

Managing Director: Benedikt Falkenstein

Reports and questions: support@favi.link

Please use the email subject Favvy illegal-content notice. Notices may be submitted in English or German. This email address is also Favvy's contact point for service recipients under Article 12 of the EU Digital Services Act. Authorities should use the authority contact details in the Legal Notice.

3. What you can report

You may report a specific Favvy-hosted or Favvy-presented item, including:

  • a username, display name, biography, avatar, or cover image;
  • a public profile;
  • a list or collection title, description, cover image, or list item;
  • user-written text or a user-submitted link;
  • an image or metadata displayed in connection with a list item;
  • conduct involving impersonation, threats, harassment, fraud, or misuse of Favvy;
  • intellectual-property infringement;
  • unlawful disclosure of personal data or private information;
  • content that may constitute hate speech, terrorist content, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, defamation, an illegal offer, or another criminal or civil-law violation.

Favvy can generally act only on content or Accounts within its service. For content that exists solely on an external website, report it directly to that website or its hosting provider. You may still tell us if Favvy links to the external material so we can assess the Favvy link or presentation.

4. How to submit a notice

Email support@favi.link and include the information below. A clear notice helps us locate the content and make an informed decision.

Required information

  1. Exact location. Provide the complete Favvy URL and, where relevant, the username, list title, item name, screenshot, and any other detail needed to locate the content. If several pieces of content are involved, identify each one separately.
  2. Explanation of illegality. Explain specifically why you believe the content is illegal. Identify the affected right, relevant facts, country, and legal rule if you know them. You do not need to provide a formal legal opinion, but a general statement such as “this is illegal” may not be sufficient.
  3. Your contact information. Provide your name and email address so we can acknowledge and process the notice, unless the exception below applies.
  4. Good-faith statement. Include the following statement: “I confirm in good faith that the information and allegations in this notice are accurate and complete.”

Exception for certain sexual-abuse reports

You do not have to provide your name and email address where your notice concerns information that you believe involves an offence referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU, including specified child sexual abuse, exploitation, pornography, or solicitation offences. Do not download, copy, or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material to make a report. Provide only the URL and information needed to locate it.

Helpful additional information

Where available and safe to provide, also include:

  • the date and time you saw the content;
  • whether you are the person directly affected or are acting with that person's authority;
  • supporting documents or a description of evidence;
  • the outcome you request;
  • whether a court, authority, or law-enforcement body is already involved;
  • a case or reference number from another provider or authority;
  • whether there is an immediate risk to life, safety, or evidence.

Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, full identity documents, unrelated private communications, or more personal data than reasonably necessary. If evidence contains sensitive information, first describe it and ask how it should be transmitted securely.

5. Acknowledgement and initial handling

Where you provide a working email address, we will acknowledge receipt without undue delay. An acknowledgement only confirms receipt; it is not a decision on the notice.

We may ask for clarification where the reported content cannot be found or the explanation does not allow an informed assessment. If a notice contains the exact location and a sufficiently substantiated explanation, it may give Favvy actual knowledge or awareness of the reported information for the purposes of applicable law.

We prioritize reports based on apparent severity, urgency, risk of continuing harm, the clarity of the notice, and legal obligations. Reports indicating an immediate threat, child sexual abuse, credible violence, or another serious criminal risk receive priority treatment.

6. Assessment and possible action

Reports are assessed on a case-by-case basis. To the extent reasonably possible, the assessment is timely, diligent, objective, proportionate, and attentive to the rights and legitimate interests of everyone involved, including freedom of expression and information.

Depending on the circumstances, Favvy may:

  • leave the content available where the report is unsubstantiated or no violation is identified;
  • ask the reporting person or affected user for further information;
  • remove or disable access to specific content;
  • restrict the visibility or functionality of content, a list, profile, or Account;
  • issue a warning or require a correction;
  • temporarily suspend or permanently terminate an Account;
  • preserve relevant records where permitted or required;
  • refer the matter to or cooperate with a competent authority;
  • take another proportionate technical or contractual measure.

We do not rely solely on automated tools to make final decisions on notices submitted through this channel. Technical tools may help locate content, prevent spam, organize cases, or enforce an already determined restriction.

7. Information about the outcome

Where you provide contact information, we will inform you of our decision concerning the reported information without undue delay after making it. The message will ordinarily state whether action was taken and identify an available redress option. We may limit details where disclosure would violate another person's rights, compromise security, reveal confidential information, interfere with an investigation, or be prohibited by law.

If Favvy removes content, restricts visibility, suspends service, or terminates an Account because the information is illegal or violates the Terms, we will provide the affected user with a clear and specific statement of reasons where required by law. The statement may include:

  • the restriction imposed and its territorial or temporal scope;
  • the facts and circumstances relied on, including whether the action followed a notice or an own-initiative review;
  • any use made of automated means;
  • the legal ground or contractual provision relied on;
  • available internal or external redress options.

A statement of reasons may be withheld or adapted where a legal exception applies, including certain deceptive high-volume commercial content, law-enforcement requirements, or a risk of harm.

8. Requesting reconsideration

If you submitted a notice or are affected by a Favvy moderation decision and believe the outcome is wrong, email support@favi.link with the subject Favvy moderation appeal.

Include:

  • the original report or decision date;
  • the Favvy URL and Account involved;
  • any case reference we supplied;
  • the outcome you dispute;
  • a concise explanation and any new evidence.

Where the Digital Services Act requires an internal complaint-handling system for the decision concerned, a complaint may be submitted electronically and free of charge for at least six months after the decision. A person who did not receive a reference number should include enough information for us to identify the earlier matter. Review will be performed under the responsibility of a suitably qualified person and will not be decided solely through automation.

Statutory court remedies, complaints to competent authorities, and eligible out-of-court dispute-settlement options remain unaffected. The availability of a particular remedy depends on the applicable law and Favvy's legal status at the relevant time.

9. Misuse of the reporting process

Do not knowingly submit false, misleading, abusive, duplicative, or bad-faith notices. Do not use this process to harass another person, suppress lawful criticism, obtain private information, or assert rights you do not hold.

Favvy may deprioritize manifestly unfounded duplicate messages, request verification, restrict abusive use of the channel, or take Account action in accordance with the Terms and applicable law. Where the law requires prior warnings before suspending the processing of notices or complaints, we will provide them.

A mistaken report made honestly will not be treated as abuse merely because we reach a different conclusion.

10. Urgent danger and criminal matters

Favvy's email channel is not an emergency service and is not monitored continuously.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services or police first. In Germany, the police emergency number is 110 and the general emergency number is 112.

If you encounter suspected child sexual abuse material, do not save or share it. Report the exact online location to the appropriate law-enforcement or recognized reporting body and notify Favvy using the limited information described above.

Competent authorities may contact palmstudio GmbH through the authority channel listed in the Legal Notice. We respond to valid preservation requests, disclosure orders, and other binding legal process in accordance with applicable law.

11. Intellectual-property notices

For a copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property report, identify:

  • the protected work, mark, or other right;
  • the right holder and your authority to act, if you are a representative;
  • the exact Favvy content alleged to infringe;
  • why the use is unauthorized, taking into account licenses and legal exceptions;
  • your contact information and the good-faith statement in Section 4.

Where appropriate, we may forward the substance of the claim and the reporting person's identity to the affected user so they can respond. Tell us if disclosure would create a specific safety risk, and explain that risk.

12. Privacy and confidentiality

We process report data to receive, investigate, document, and resolve the notice; communicate with involved persons; protect rights and service security; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and comply with legal duties.

Report information may be shared, to the extent necessary, with the affected user, service providers, professional advisers, competent authorities, courts, or rights holders. We minimize disclosure where possible, but we cannot promise anonymity where disclosure is necessary for a fair assessment or required by law.

We retain case information for as long as reasonably needed to handle the notice and any review, meet documentation or preservation duties, defend legal claims, and prevent abuse. Specific periods depend on the nature of the case, applicable limitation periods, and authority requirements.

For details about legal bases, recipients, international transfers, retention, and data-protection rights, see the Privacy Policy.

13. Transparency and process improvements

Favvy may use de-identified or aggregated case information to improve moderation, detect recurring abuse, and prepare legally required transparency information. We do not publish a reporting person's personal information as part of that reporting.

As Favvy's features, scale, or legal obligations change, we may introduce an in-product report form, case identifiers, expanded appeal tools, or specialized channels. Until then, the email process described on this page is the operative electronic contact channel.
